Evolution is a four piece progressive underground metal band that has been together since early 1993. Our music has been described as, "An ear-bleeding assault of intense melodic guitar riffs with pounding drums, heavy bass, and crushing vocals." The band consists of Rick Servidio on vocals, Corey Gallant on guitar, Brandon Tardiff on drums, and Tom Connors on bass.
Evolution has played numerous shows both in the state of Maine as well as outside the state. The band has played with national acts such as Brutal Truth, KATAKLYSM, Testament, Skin Lab, Doro, SOD, Lo Phat, Shadows Fall & Broken Hope as well as local favorites Twisted Roots, & Kevorkian (from Boston).
Evolution recorded a 4 song EP in 1996 at Albanian Studios with producer Mike Dilios and most recently recorded their first full length CD entitled "Altered Reality" in March of 1998 at Cryptic Studios with Jason Fogg and Jason Crowell. The band is planning on recording in mid 2000 their newest album, which will be entitled, "Change is Evident"
The band has a number of upcoming shows both in and out of state. Evolution also offers merchandise such as T-shirts, hats, and stickers, which are available through mail order, Bull Moose Music, and our shows. Evolution is a strong professional band where all four members get along and play with one goal in mind. The goal is to entertain people through their music with a show that is well put together with tight music that has the ability to draw people into the realm of Evolution.
